With the number of mobile devices out there, you may want to convert your DVDs to a format that's suitable for your iPod or phone. That's precisely what Aplus Total DVD Ripper will let you do - rip your DVDs and convert them to a variety of formats.

Aplus Total DVD Ripper is a simple program that doesn't have many configuration options apart from the format selection. The formats supported by the app are listed at the bottom of the main window - if you choose one, a window will pop up showing you the technical specifications and giving you the opportunity to modify them.

Under the more standard Option menu, you can set the application to load DVDs automatically and to shut down after conversion. As Aplus Total DVD Ripper doesn't support batch conversions, however, this is of limited use.

Unfortunately, using Aplus Total DVD Ripper was a disappointing experience. The interface is badly translated and using the ripper was ¡uncomfortable. Although it has a good selection of formats available, it didn't make up for the fact that Aplus Total DVD Ripper seems to be a slightly user-unfriendly app.

Aplus Total DVD Ripper works, but there are better products out there.
